Chairman, Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana

Mario Boselli is the Chairman of the Italian National Chamber of Fashion and of Marioboselli Holding. Since the death of his father, Carlo Boselli, in 1963, Mario Boselli has been the sole head of the family business. From 1973 the original activity started to expand, diversifying into the various divisions of the textile sector and the field of fashion garments with the label “Area”. Marioboselli Holding comprises four companies (Marioboselli Yarns, Marioboselli Jersey, Silk 2000, and Twista in Humenné – Slovakia), which operate in 6 plants in Italy and one in Slovakia with an annual turnover of more than 50 million euro and employs around 400 people. Mario Boselli is also President of Centrobanca, Vice President and Member of the Executive Committee of BPU Bank , Vice President and Member of the Conseil de Surveillance of the DMC (Dollfus mieg & C.i.e), President of the Italian – Slovakian Chamber of Commerce (Bratislava) Chairman of the Cariplo Staff Pension Fund, of SETEFI, of the Italy–Hong Kong Association, President of AIdAF (Italian Family Companies Association); Member of the Board of Directors of Première Vision.
In the past Mario Boselli was Vice-Chairman of the Banca Popolare Commercio e Industria, Chairman of Federtessile, Committee Member of Confindustria, Chairman of the Independent International Trade Fair Body of Milan, Chairman of the International Silk Association (Lyon), of the European Association of Throwers and Vice-Chairman of Aiufass.
He also donnes the following honours: Grande Ufficiale al Merito della Repubblica Italiana (1985), Cavaliere del Lavoro (1990), Commandeur de l’Ordre National du Mérite (French Republic, 1997), and Commandeur de l’Ordre National de la Légion d’Honneur (French Republic, 2002) Gran Cruz de l’Orden National al Mérito (Colombian Repubblic, 2004).
Mario Boselli was born in Como in 1941.He is married and has 3 children.
