Stefano BERALDO

Stefano Beraldo was born in Mestre, Venice on March 23, 1957. He is married and has two daughters of 13 and 9.

He took his secondary school diploma at the “Liceo Classico ‘Raimondo Franchetti” of Mestre, Venice and graduated in economics at the University of Venice with flying colours.

His career started at Arthur Andresen, working in the Auditing and Management Consltancy field.

In 1988 he joined the Benetton Group Holding company and held a variety of management positions in different areas finance and acquisitions.

In 1995 he successfully directed the acquisition of SME from the Italian Ministry of Industry and then became General Manager of GS Euromercato Spa wich in 5 years improved sales and profitability.

He handed over the Company to Carrefour, working with the French Company for 2 years.

In June 2000 he was appointed Managing Director and General Manager of the De’ Longhi Group.

In five years he managed to recover and strengthen the Group’s profitability, having it listed in the Stock Exchange, rebalancing its financial structure, acquiring and developing Kenwood plc (this company is listed in the London Stock Exchange), renewing the product portfolio, carrying out its international expansion. He also managed to transform the production structure, by having a large portion of it transferred in the Far East and the Italian production activities restructured.

He has been General Manager and Managing Director of the Coin Group since July 2005. In less than two years he brought the company’s market capitalization from approximately 320m euros to 800m , consolidating its leadership in the Italian clothing market and starting the internationalization process. This changes also involve the overall organizational structure, the new positioning of both Coin and Oviesse in terms of products, formats and communication, and the implementation of a plan of investment and commercial expansion.
