Stefania Saviolo received a degree in Business Administration at Bocconi University, Milan, where she also received her Ph.D. in International Business. In 1993 she was a visiting scholar at the Stern School of Business at New York University, where she also attended her International Teacher Program in 1999. From 1989 to 1993 she has been lecturer at Bocconi – Department of Economics. Since 1994 she has been Professor of fashion and luxury management and international business at Bocconi University and SDA Business School. She has been involved for 15 years in the study of management in fashion and luxury based companies. In 2000 she founded the Master in Fashion, Experience and Design management at SDA Bocconi, supported by Altagamma. She is frequently involved in international projects on fashion (lecturer for European Projects, visiting professor at the National University of Singapore in 1997, team leader for one Asia-Link project in China 2004-2007). Her publications include Management of fashion companies (with Salvo Testa, Etas, 2000), Licensing management in fashion (Etas, 2001), Opportunities for Made in Italy (with Erica Corbellini, Etas, 2004), China strategy for international luxury brands (Harvard business Review China, 2006), “L’esperienza del lusso. Mondi, Mercati, Marchi” (con E. Corbellini), Etas 2007.
