Alfred Kai Tai Chan, aged 62, is the founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Managing Director of Ports Design Limited. He is also the founder and Chairman of PCD Stores, a high-end department store chain operating in the mainland Chinese market. Mr. Chan has over 25 years experience in the garment and fashion industry in North America and Asia. He was nominated as one of the “200 Top Chief Executive Officers” in Canada by the Financial Post of Canada in 1992. Mr Chan is responsible for the overall management and operations of the Group. He has spoken on the subject of building a successful luxury fashion business at numerous conferences, including at the International Herald Tribune ‘Luxury 2004: The Lure of Asia’ conference, where he spoke alongside Bernard Arnault, Ferruccio Ferragamo, Diego Della Valle, and Santo Versace. Mr Chan graduated from McGill University in Canada with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics in 1970 and a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering in 1972.
