Cleto Sagripanti was born in Macerata on 19 March 1971. After completing his business studies at school, he began working for the family firm, Manas spa of Montecosaro (MC), active in the footwear sector since 1956.

In 1993 he was made Sales Director, before being appointed Marketing Director in 1995 and going on to become the General Manager. He was made Managing Director in 2002.

His promotion to the top of the company coincided with the beginning of significant growth thanks to a number of strategic decisions, including a focus on quality, research and product innovation, human resource development and new impetus in the field of communication and branding.

From 2002 to 2005, Sagripanti was Chairman of the ANCI (Associazione Nazionale Calzaturieri Italiani – National Association of Italian Footwear Manufacturers) Young Entrepreneurs group, after having been a member since 1994 and Deputy Chairman from 1997 to 2001. On 21 April 2005 he was elected national Deputy Chairman of Confindustria Young Entrepreneurs, a movement guided by Matteo Colaninno, where he was in charge of education and foreign relations. During his three-year term in office, he was candidated for the national chairmanship of the Confindustria “under 40” movement, obtaining 40% of the vote following an exciting battle with the new Chairwoman Federica Guidi.

In 2007 he became a member of the ANCI Council and in 2008 he was appointed as a member of the Confederal “Education” Technical Committee.

In 2007 the University of Macerata awarded him the “University Award” reserved for the most innovative entrepreneur in the Marche region.

In July 2008 he joined the Board of Directors of the University of Macerata as an independent councillor invited by the Rector and, during the same period, was also a member of the Board of Directors of the MUS-e Association, a multicultural European project, chaired in Italy by the entrepreneur Riccardo Garrone, founded by the violinist and conductor Yehudi Menuhin, which aims to combat exclusion and social disadvantages in infant and primary schools by means of artistic expression.

In December 2008 he was elected Chairman of the European Platform for new footwear technology, the only Italian at the head of a European Platform.

On 16 July 2009 he became Chairman of Confindustria Macerata Footwear Manufacturers and Deputy Chairman of Confindustria Macerata.

Since July 2009 he has been the coordinator of ANCI's 2015 Industry and Innovation Committee.

Since May 2010 he has been Chairman of Aerdorica, the company which manages Raffaello Sanzio airport in the Marche region.
