Carlalberto CORNELIANI
President, F.lli Claudio e Carlalberto Corneliani
A Cavaliere del Lavoro since 1991, Carlalberto Corneliani is co-owner and managing director of Fratelli Corneliani, SpA, of Mantua, producer of the world's most prestigious formal wear for men. The company ended the latest accounting year with consolidated sales of 119 million euros. The company employs 769 persons and produces 400,000 jackets, 300,000 pairs of trousers and 350,000 shirts each year under six company brands and the Polo by Ralph Lauren license. Corneliani is a pioneer not only in the Italian garment industry (it debuted in the thirties) but also in applying the concept of "corporate style." That concept was based on an awareness of how stylistic components could be combined with the realities of large modern industry and creativity with product and service. In addition to his role in the company, Corneliani is a member of the board of directors of Sistema Moda Italia and the National Chamber of Italian Fashion. In 1993, he became a founding member of the Leonardo Committee.
