Claudio PIOVESANA
Associate Publisher Europe, WSJ Magazine
Claudio Piovesana is the associate publisher, Europe, of WSJ. Magazine, the Wall Street Journal’s luxury lifestyle magazine, and multimedia sales director for The Wall Street Journal, based in Paris.
As associate publisher of WSJ. Magazine, he helps oversee all Europe-based advertising and marketing initiatives for the US, Europe and Asia editions of the magazine.
As multimedia director, he assists in developing strategies to drive revenue in luxury and other categories through print, online and other digital properties, as well as strategic partnerships. He has responsibility for markets in France, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and Portugal.
Mr. Piovesana was named to his current role in November 2011. He first joined Dow Jones in 1999 as an advertising sales executive based in Paris, before moving to London in 2005 as advertising group head. In 2006 he left the company to join an independent media company in Milan for two years, where his key clients included The Wall Street Journal and The Economist. He has headed up the Southern Europe sales region for The Wall Street Journal since 2008.
Mr. Piovesana, an Italian citizen, is a native of Rheinfelden in Germany, and attended the London College of International Business Studies.
