Giulia PESSANI

Editor in chief, Gentleman Class Editori

Giulia Pessani was born in Milan (Italy); she earned a degree in semiotics, and has been a professional journalist since 1994. She spent her entire professional career at Class Editori, starting out editing the monthly magazine Class.

She has been the editor of Gentleman, the monthly men’s lifestyle magazine of the economic and financial newspapers MF/Milano Finanza and ItaliaOggi since 2001. Based on the success of the Italian edition, in 2003 Gentleman was involved in an international development plan. It currently boasts ten editions throughout the world including the Korean version, in partnership with the Seoul JContentree M&B publishing house, the French and Flemish version, in partnership with the Belgian group Editiones Ventures, and two in Spanish, one for Spain and, the most recent in October 2013, for Mexico, with Ediciones Tourbillion.

The Gentleman system, which also includes the website www.gentlemanlife.it, a lifestyle portal with classifications and news related to the magazine, and an App for iPhones and iPads, was enriched this year by the new editorial initiative, the Gentleman’s Style book, in Italian and English, dedicated to the life, style, ideas, and products that gentlemen cherish.

Based on the Gentleman experience, the first women’s lifestyle magazine, Ladies&Gentleman, had its debut in September 2009. Giulia Pessani is also the editor of Case&Country, Class Editori’s monthly magazine dedicated to people who love living in and traveling through the countryside; in 2013 it celebrates its twentieth birthday, for which a new book, Case&Country Style is being prepared, to double Gentleman’s Style’s success with the public and critics.
