Since July 2017, Maurizio Tamagnini is the Chief Executive Officer of FSI, the General Partner of FSI Mid-Market Growth Equity fund with commitments of approx. €1.3 billion. FSI investors include sovereign wealth funds from the Middle East, Central Asia and the Far East, leading Italian and European long term institutional investors, European banks and insurance companies, in addition to family offices of large industrial groups. He acted as Chief Executive Officer of Fondo Strategico Italiano since its foundation in 2011 until 2016. He is Vice Chairman in the Supervisory Board of STMicroelectronics NV, member of BIDCM – Harvard Cancer Center in Boston and member of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Advisory Board. Maurizio Tamagnini has 27 years of experience in the financial industry, he has been Head of Southern Europe for Corporate and Investment Banking of Bank of America Merrill Lynch and member of the EMEA Executive Committee. He has a degree cum laude in International Monetary Economics from Bocconi University in Milan and further qualifications from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute di Troy, New York, USA.
